on Wheels

Meals on Wheels, Prosser,
has an opening for a Substitute Meal Site
Assistant. Hours: On Call (Weekdays;
mid-morning/lunch time hours). Minimum
qualifications: at least 18 years of age, high school
diploma or equivalent, six months food service
experience, valid WA State Food Handler's card or the
ability to obtain one, the ability to lift & carry up to
25 lbs and a valid driver's license with the ability to
travel using an insured personal vehicle. Duties
to include assisting in site management, preparation of
food and kitchen clean-up, records maintenance, assist
with participant needs and making appropriate referrals,
and the ability to serve as back-up meal delivery driver
as needed. Starting pay is $8.76 per hour DOQ.

service with thorough knowledge of food preparation,
operation of food service equipment & sanitation
standards, acceptable driving record, & ability to lift
& carry up to 25 lbs. Duties include assisting in
site management, preparation of food and clean-up on an

Meals on
Wheels Volunteers
Meals on Wheels needs drivers and kitchen help.
All volunteers must pass a
background check. Drivers must have a valid
driver's license and proof of insurance and complete a
Driving Record Self-declaration form. Kitchen
help must obtain a Food Handler's Permit.
Hours are approximately:
drivers 10:30 - 12:30; Kitchen help 9:00 - 1:00 or 10:00 to
12:30.
