Helping individuals stay in their homes since 1974 Senior Life Resources Northwest of is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the improvement of life’s quality and maintenance of independent living. By providing the following supportive care services, we offer an alternative to institutional care for those who live in southeastern Washington state. Our Home Care program supports clients who require transfer/positioning, protective supervision, self-medication assistance, household assistance, bathing, shopping, body care, toileting, ambulation and family care. For more information, click Home Care Services. The Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels program offers home-delivered meals to eligible participants. These are hot, balanced, nutritious, noon-time meals, delivered Monday through Friday that enable many adults over 60 who need a little help to continue living in their own home. Frozen meals are available for weekends and holidays for those who need them. For active adults, a noontime meal is available at seven dining centers throughout the area. Senior Health Services trained and licensed, professional nursing staff provide: Preventive Foot Care, which includes inspection of the feet for early detection of foot problems. Foot soak to alleviate dry skin problems, promote hygiene and aid circulation. A pedicure to maintain well-trimmed toenails. An application of mineral oils to alleviate dryness and education on foot health. Osteoporosis Screening which is a quick and comfortable, noninvasive ultrasound test of the heel bone to measure overall bone density. Health Screening is a comprehensive review of your health history and diet, an extensive chem-screen blood panel to evaluate a variety of health factors and thorough physical examination.
